Kondwera: Delightfully Defiant
I don’t know about you, but I can be rather stubborn.
🔹Tell me I can’t do something that I believe I can? I’ll prove myself right.
I’ve failed. I’ve fallen (hard). But every time, I’ve come back better.
Because I choose how each chapter ends.
And what we’re not about to do… is not try.
Some people quit right before their breakthrough. And, no, it’s not because they’re unworthy, but because the initial fall can hurt more than expected. And once down, it’s hard to get up. I understand.
But here’s the truth: Resilience is a decision. One we make over and over again to stay in the game. One that’s actually stubbornness or, what I like to call delightful defiance!
I saw a quote earlier this year that hit hard:
“Your biggest success will come from your biggest failures and challenges, but only if you stay in the game. Most give up.”
But what if you choose not to give up and to instead take massive action?
What if every “no” becomes fuel?
What if you choose to still rise, even when it would be easier not to?
Estelle said it best:
“I’d rather stand tall than live on my knees…
I’m a conqueror and I won’t accept defeat.
Try telling me no, but one thing about me.
I am a conqueror. I am a conqueror.”
If you’re going through a tough moment, I hope you choose to lean into your innate stubbornness. The delightful defiance that works for your good.
